Hunting Prince Dracula by Kerri Maniscalco
Goodreads Rating: 4.34
I enjoyed Stalking Jack the Ripper. It initially was never on my radar. I read it for Spookathon last year because it satisfied several of the prompts. However, I wound up thoroughly enjoying it and decided to pick up the sequel this month after it went on sale (yeah, who can resist a sale?)
Hunting Prince Dracula follows Thomas and Audrey Rose as they embark on the journey to Romania, where they are joining one of Europe’s best forensic medicine schools. While they are there, of course, there are some Vlad the Impaler like killings. And they must be solved!
I actually enjoyed this one more than the first. I enjoyed the mystery of it more. Of course I love Thomas and Audrey Rose. They are truly loveable characters. Dracula has always interested me so I also enjoyed the little bit of history we received. Also, there are some new enjoyable characters that are likely to return in the third book, which I will be reading soon.
Overall, 4 stars.
Undivided by Neal Shusterman
Goodreads Rating: 4.48
I finally finished the Unwind series! The last novel, Undivided, really wraps up the novel. Of course, I did figure out the ending before it happened. I, overall, enjoyed this series. The last book had a few flaws. We have spent 4 entire books waiting to see what happens at the end and the final showdown is literally a couple of pages. I felt like Shusterman should have given it more.
Listen, if you want a fun, action packed ride, these are the books for you. I was never bored throughout this series. The characters were great.
I gave the last book 5 stars because emotionally it did something to me. This is how I know that it’s a great book. Overall, a great series, and I enjoyed every minute of it.
